About My Automotive Recruitment Journey

My recruitment career focuses on connecting skilled automotive professionals with leading UK dealerships. By combining fitness industry discipline with structured recruitment training, I identify high-quality candidates for active workshop roles, ensuring our senior team receives fully qualified applicant shortlists.

My automotive recruitment journey began in July 2025 when I joined the Candidate Attraction Team at Perfect Placement. I am currently six months into the 12-month Recruiter Development Programme, which provides structured training in candidate sourcing and sector-specific hiring methods.

Before joining the business, I studied Fitness Services at BTEC Level at City College Norwich/Easton College. Although I enjoyed the course and developed a strong understanding of discipline and motivation, I was ready for a new challenge. I wanted a role that combined my people skills and interest in career development, that career transition led me to the automotive recruitment sector.

What does an Automotive Recruitment Apprentice do?

My role includes advertising Motor Trade Jobs across multiple job boards, sourcing suitable candidates, and keeping our database up to date. This daily maintenance ensures our consultants can quickly place the right people into the right roles, from Vehicle Technicians to Sales Executives.

Liam is focused on continuous improvement and aims to progress into a full Recruitment Consultant role upon completing his apprenticeship. Outside of the office, he is a dedicated football fan and recently captained his local team to a league title victory. This achievement highlights his natural leadership skills and team-focused mindset. Whether he is playing golf, socialising with friends, or supporting the wider Perfect Placement team, Liam brings positive energy and a reliable work ethic to every environment.
