We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Post Production Pre-Delivery Vehicle Inspection Technician to join our clients industry leading Automotive production team in Dartford. This role is part of our clients post production delivery department, where you’ll be involved in a range of tasks critical to ensuring the quality and safety of their vehicles before they reach their excited customers!
Your primary responsibility will be to conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on completed vehicles, following a detailed checklist of tasks and checks. This includes performing quality assessments and identifying potential issues that may not be on the standard checklist, using your keen eye for detail and proactive approach.
Given the safety-critical nature of this role, a methodical and focused mindset is essential. In addition to PDI duties, you will also provide support to other functions within the Post Production department as needed. This role is just the start of your journey with our clients business!
This role offers 40 hours per week, with flexible working hours from Monday to Thursday (6am – 3pm or 7am – 4pm) and an early finish on Friday (6am – 12pm or 7am – 1pm). Our client provides flexibility to accommodate your personal needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately follow PDI procedures and checklists.
- Ensure vehicles meet the correct specifications and quality standards.
- Compile reports and provide feedback to the assembly team.
- Perform fault finding and diagnostics (both electrical and mechanical).
- Support other Post Production department functions as required.
- Meet set times and targets for inspections.
- Ensure vehicles comply with all relevant standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including equipment and tools.
- Adhere to company health and safety procedures.
- Uphold the highest standards of workmanship.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow established processes.
- Skilled in identifying potential issues and quality concerns.
- Proficient with basic Windows systems.
- A minimum of 5 years of mechanical or assembly experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Adaptability to change and modernisation.
- A full UK driver’s license is required.
