Automotive Vehicle Technician Required in the Bromley, Kent area  Salary:
  • £32 - £36k Basic + £50k - £60k uncapped on target earnings! 
  • Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday with Saturdays on a 1 in 4 Rota basis paid at overtime 
We are currently working with a well-established Motor Trade Car Dealership who have been operating in the London area for since the 1980's. This client has an excellent reputation and operate with over 5 different vehicle brands.

They are seeking an Experienced Vehicle Technician who has at least 2 years experience within a Main Dealership, or similar environment, to join and support the work of their Workshop Department. This is a crucial role to the success of the business, as such the rewards and benefits they offer set them apart from other Dealerships in their local area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join a company that is committed to ensuring their staff enjoy their working day. They reward highly and put their employees at the forefront of all they do.

Within this Car Technician role your day to day duties will include: 
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of light commercial vehicles to identify any mechanical, electrical, or technical issues. Diagnose problems through visual inspection, computer diagnostics, and customer feedback.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, to ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle. Check and replace fluids, filters, and other consumables.
  • Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in light commercial vehicles. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Engine Work: Overhaul or repair engines, including internal components like pistons, cylinders, and valves. Conduct engine performance testing and adjustments.
  • Transmission and Drivetrain Repairs: Repair or replace transmissions, clutches, and differentials. Ensure proper functioning of the drivetrain components.
  • Electrical System Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and onboard electronic components. Install and repair vehicle accessories and aftermarket components.
  • Brake System Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and replace brake components, including pads, rotors, and calipers. Ensure proper brake system functionality.
  • Suspension and Steering System Work: Inspect and repair suspension components, including shocks, struts, and springs. Diagnose and address steering-related issues.
  • HVAC System Maintenance: Service and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in vehicles.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle. Document the parts used, labor hours, and services provided.
  • Follow Health & Safety Regulations: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety and environmental regulations.
