Seventeen years ago, Perfect Placement UK Ltd was formed with one goal in mind: to provide an unrivalled Automotive Recruitment Service to both Clients and Candidates within the Motor Trade.

A 17th Anniversary isn’t a traditional milestone for a company to celebrate, but when this anniversary falls in a year like 2020 it’s definitely worth celebrating and taking a moment to reflect on what has been, to appreciate what we have right now and to look at what the coming years are going to bring.

Founded back in 2003 by Glenn and Lisa Unstead, a Father and Daughter in Law combo, after a niche in the marketplace had been noticed, Perfect Placement began the process of Recruiting for the Motor Trade in the local area. Quickly our name became known and it wasn’t long before we were recruiting for the whole of East Anglia.

Fast Forward, a few years and Perfect Placement had a nationwide presence and were operating from Lands’ End through to John O Groats with a team of dedicated Automotive Recruitment Specialists. To say we haven’t had hurdles along the way would be an untruth, as with the growth of any business there are points which change your direction (2007 Recession and of course 2020!), but we are firm believers it is how you handle these hiccups that mould you into the business you are today.

Since our journey began all those years ago we have had the pleasure of placing over 30,000 automotive job seekers in their new roles and have found over 5,000 companies their perfect new employee. It’s a great feeling knowing that we have provided such an outstanding Automotive Recruitment Service to so many and have made a difference to people’s lives and their companies.

Following on from our high of last week, winning the Automotive Recruitment Agency of the Year for the eighth year running, we are well and truly in Celebration Mode at present. Since June we have been back to normal. Operations and are so glad to have welcomed all of our team back to work and the office. We have seen in the last couple of months that demand for our service has soared from both Candidates and Clients with some truly fantastic Motor Trade Jobs across the whole of the UK , Norway, the Caribbean and beyond. We may have had to adapt some of our processes along the way, but we are back and stronger than ever!

As we look to the future, we are more than certain that we can continue to offer only the best Automotive Recruitment Service to everyone that requires us. We are excited to see how the 'Electrification' of the Motor Trade progresses and the emerging skill sets and new jobs this will bring, as well as forming new working relationships with those companies who are forming in this weird new post-COVID UK.

As we turn Seventeen, we must of course say Thank You. Thank you to those in the Motor Trade who trust in the service we offer and rely on us to help them recruit new employees, Thank You to those who rely on us to find them their dream new job.

Of course, a big Thank You to everyone who has been part of our journey so far at Perfect Placement, from our Principal Recruitment Consultants, our Regional Recruitment Consultants, Recruitment Executives and our Recruitment Support Team – without you guys we would not be where we are today.

Here's to the next year of Perfect Placement - let's hope its a tad more normal!
