Perfect Placement UK Ltd was formed by Lisa and Glenn Unstead, a daughter and father-in-law team who originate from strong service-related backgrounds.
Having realised that other specialists in the field of Automotive Recruitment were failing to meet the expectations of Clients in the area their shared goal was to provide a niche recruitment service to the Norfolk Automotive Sector.
Success was almost immediate and rapid growth was seen across the East Anglian region and Consultants recruited with a strategy of eventually replicating the business model across the UK.
By early 2005, we needed more room – business was booming and so we had to move into our first purpose-built premises to enable us to keep on enjoying the growth we were seeing. Perfect Placement UK Ltd were quickly become the automatic choice for First-Class Automotive Recruitment Services Across the Southern Regions of England
By 2007 we were yet again bursting at the seams, so saw another office move, this time to a 4,000sq/ft Recruitment Centre, further solidifying our Under One Roof concept, one which has always proved popular with both Clients and Candidates alike and was fully aligned with our Directors’ philosophy of constantly delivering the highest possible levels of service.
Rolling into 2009, our unique approach to Automotive Recruitment meant that we had expanded our coverage to reach across all regions of the UK. It was time for us to expand our workforce further, so we held our own recruitment drive, alongside specialist training and invested over £1M in the latest technology. This paired with a lot of hard work meant that the business was seeing huge successes.
Our team were well and truly on a high having been named ‘Automotive Recruitment Agency of the Year’ for the first time only the year before.
We had bolstered our internal Recruitment to the point that we desperately needed more space – so we took the chance to move to our current home, an 11,500sq/ft building that we have equipped with all of the tools our Recruiters need to be a success in their roles.
Fast forward to 2019 and further investment.
2019 for us saw a Rebranding, a Website with more functionality to improve the Candidate Experience and a state-of-the-art CRM which enabled us to further streamline our Automotive Recruitment Service and make it even more efficient.
We were the proud recipients of the Car Dealer Power Award 'Automotive Recruitment Agency of The Year' for the seventh year in a row.
With some new words in our dictionaries after the previous year (COVID, Unprecedented, Furlough, Lockdown) we entered 2021 working from home and making sure we were on hand to assist both our Automotive Clients and Motor Trade Candidates with solutions to their Recruitment Needs.
Whilst a rocky start to the year, we ended it on a high with more jobs than we had ever advertised before – with a record amount of new Business and a phenomenal number of placements.

The Future is unwritten at the moment, but….
