The role of Bodyshop Vehicle Prepper is a great stepping stone into your bodyshop career. The role involves the preparation of cars ahead of repair work taking place. This will include fine filler work, sanding and masking. Attention to detail and working to the highest standards are major aspects of this position and as a Bodyshop Prepper you will be expected to adhere to Health and Safety regulations.

As a Bodyshop Prepper you will be based in an Accident Repair Centre, these vary in size as some are national businesses; others are family run or independently owned. Each will have its own way of working but will expect a Bodyshop Prepper to be enthusiastic, keen to learn and work well as part of a team. You will have to meet timescales and work in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.

Typical hours for this role are around 40-45 hours per week, some autotrade businesses may expect a Bodyshop Prepper to work some weekends but this depends on the employer and the needs of the business. In return, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary, the opportunity to widen your knowledge of how a Bodyshop operates and opportunities for career progression. Salaries can reach up to £30k depending on the location of the Bodyshop and experience of the individual.
