As a Car Sales Executive, you will work within the Sales Team and be responsible for prospecting to new and existing customers, qualifying, demonstrating and selling a product and promoting the additional accessories, warranties, insurances and protection products on offer.

Based in a Dealership, you will have regular interaction with new and existing customers. It is therefore essential that you can offer the highest levels of customer service by providing a knowledgeable, responsive and efficient service. A good Car Sales Executive will be someone who can work in a professional manner, answering any queries a customer may have and exploring all the options that may be suited to them.

You will report into the Sales Manager and will be expected to achieve sales objectives and contribute to the profitability of the dealership. A Car Sales Executive will be required to complete administration processes accurately including when carrying out part exchange appraisals and vehicle handovers. Another aspect of the role involves taking potential customers out on test drives; therefore, a full UK Driver’s license is required.

The role of Car Sales Executive is very target driven and has lots of potential for growth and promotion for the right person. The natural next steps would be the role of Service Advisor, Sales Team Leader, Car Sales Manager and upwards.

Typical working hours in this role can be up to 45 hours per week and this usually involves working weekends as and when required. As a Car Sales Executive you will also get the opportunity to achieve great bonuses based on performance. For this reason, basic salaries tend to be lower but OTE can reach £40K and above.
