As a Vehicle Parts Administrator , you are a vital support for the Sales, Service and Parts Teams. The main duties attributed to this role include assisting with parts enquiries, product information, delivery times and liaising across different departments within the company to ensure orders are processed and delivered smoothly.

Typically this role is based within a Main Dealership and is primarily an administrative function. Filing, invoice printing, updating and maintaining systemised stock data are all key aspects of the role. A successful Vehicle Parts Administrator will be extremely organised, self-motivated and able to work to strict deadlines. Having strong communication skills is also vital as you will be dealing with both customers and suppliers as well as a range of internal teams.

The role of Vehicle Parts Administrator is a diverse one with lots of potential for growth and promotion for the right person. The natural next steps would be the role of Parts Advisor, Parts Sales Representative, right the way up to Parts Manager.  As this role relies heavily on maintaining stock records and managing stock control, most employers will require someone who is confident with MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Experience of logistics or the Autotrade is advantageous but administrative experience is essential.

Typically, the hours of work for a Vehicle Parts Administrator are around 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. It is not often that you would be required to work weekends, but ultimately it depends on the business you are working within.
