As a Vehicle Service Administrator, you will be responsible for the front of house service to customers of the Service Centre. The main duties include booking customer’s vehicles in for Service, MOT or repairs, advising on any work required including costs, arranging collection of vehicles, taking payments and keeping customers informed along the way. It is important that the highest level of customer care and satisfaction are met at all times.

As a Vehicle Service Administrator you will work as part of the Bodyshop team, this could be within a Main Dealership or an independently owned Accident Repair Centre. Being a customer facing role it is important that the Vehicle Service Administrator is well presented, has excellent communication skills and is highly organised in order to keep records up to date and ensure everything is compliant.  You will act as the communication channel between the Bodyshop and the customer so being able to understand mechanical terminology and relay this in a way that the customer understands is also an important part of this role.

Typical working hours for a Vehicle Service Administrator can be up to 40 hours per week and this can involve working on a Saturday depending on the needs of the business. Salaries range from £18K-£23K depending on the location of the Bodyshop and experience of the individual.
