Bodyshop Estimator / VDA required in Harlow, Essex.

Our motor trade client is an expert in car body repair and accident repair for all types of vehicles and have established a reputation respected by many insurers. They are seeking to employ a Bodyshop Estimator / VDA to work within their busy yet friendly team and ensure that the work carried out is to the company’s high standards.

They are looking for an experienced Bodyshop Estimator / VDA, this could be a couple of years’ experience and you are still learning and developing into the role which they are happy to invest in or someone with many years’ experience and ATA/NVQ Level 3 qualified which is able to “hit the ground running”.

Details & Benefits of the Vehicle Damage Assessor role include:
  • Competitive Basic Salary: up to £40,000 p.a.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm.
  • Overtime on Saturdays at time+half.
  • Perks for works – Shopping Vouchers.
  • Pension Scheme: employer contribution.
  • Holiday Allowance: 20 days + Bank Holidays.
  • The business closes over Christmas from 23rd December to and will return on January 2nd (they use 3 days holiday for this & work Saturdays beforehand).
  • Regular Team events i.e. BBQ’s and Bowling,
  • Company Type: Accident Repair Centre.
  • Contract: Full Time, Permanent.
As a Bodyshop Estimator / VDA you will be responsible for:
  • Meeting and greeting customers.
  • Recording a list of damages that need to be repaired.
  • Providing quotations on work to be carried out.
  • Compiling reports about the customer’s vehicles using Audatex.
  • Calculate the time required to complete all necessary repairs.
  • Inform the body shop of the authorisation of extra work needed.
The successful Bodyshop Estimator / VDA will have:
  • A proven track record in motor trade Bodyshop Estimating.
  • Possess Audatex & Autoflo knowledge.
  • An ATA or NVQ Level 3 VDA qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
  • A full driving licence is essential.
