Our Client, a Municipal Fleet Maintenance Company in the Havant area, is currently looking to hire an experienced HGV Technician for their Vehicle Workshop.

The employer is a well-established business within the public sector, with a strong track record of successful partnerships with councils across the UK.

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the company’s fleet of LGV and HGV vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired in line with Operators Licence requirements.

Duties of an HGV Technician with our Client:
  • Servicing HGV vehicles – performing checks and maintenance according to manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components
  • Vehicle Inspections and diagnostics
  • MOT preparation
  • Maintaining service records and ensuring vehicles comply with Operators Licence requirements
  • Occasionally assisting with tyre or hose changes, with no major roadside work
  • Following all health and safety procedures
What our Client Expects of their HGV Technician:
  • City & Guilds Part 3 in Motor Vehicle Studies or equivalent
  • Category C+E Driving Licence (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with HGV maintenance
  • A dynamic and proactive approach to work
  • Working knowledge of health and safety in vehicle repair operations
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Must provide National Insurance number, passport or birth certificate, or right to work documentation
