- Location: Deeside
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday, with Saturdays mornings on a rota
- Salary: Up to £35,000 basic salary depending on experience + bonus
You will work closely with the Workshop Controller, managing allocated tasks and providing feedback to the Service Advisor team regarding additional work or necessary escalations. Your role will also involve creating detailed video assessments for customers regarding any required repairs and completing thorough vehicle health checks.
Key Responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician Role:
- Conduct routine service work according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Inform customers and Service Advisors of additional work needed.
- Provide regular updates on job status to the team.
- Complete pre-delivery inspections for new and used vehicles.
- Adhere to all safe working practices for self and others.
- Utilise diagnostic equipment and road test vehicles post-service to ensure quality.
- Accurately complete job cards and SNOW reports, detailing faults found or repairs made.
- Maintain and fill out service documentation (job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) according to warranty and dealership standards.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician
- NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or above. (franchised dealership experience preferred, but training is available).
- Team player with a ‘Can do’ attitude.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- MOT licence is beneficial—occasional MOT testing may be required.
