We are seeking a hugely enthusiastic and experienced Service Manager for our client’s successful independent garage in West Sussex. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive, customer-focused individual with exceptional technical knowledge to take on a pivotal role in driving the business forward.

Our client prides themselves on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high-quality standards. The Garage Manager will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and profitability of the workshop while managing and motivating a team of skilled technicians.

Duties of a Service Manager with our Client:
  • Lead and motivate the workshop team to maintain high productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure excellent customer service by overseeing the entire service and repair process
  • Monitor and manage workshop performance, including technician efficiency and productivity
  • Recruit and onboard new technicians to meet business needs
  • Discipline and manage the team effectively, fostering a culture of respect and professionalism
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on modern vehicle systems
  • Report directly to the Director with updates on workshop performance, staffing, and operational improvements
What we’re looking for in a Service Manager:

  • Excellent knowledge of modern vehicles and repair/maintenance processes
  • Proven ability to manage workshop efficiency and meet business targets
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to operate independently

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
