  • Fantastic Prestige Main Dealer
  • Negotiable basic salary dependent on experience and qualifications - fantastic bonus scheme!! Range from £26,500 for semi skilled, to £38,000 fully qualified. 
  • OTE achievable up to £3000 a month, £36,000 extra a year! 
  • Monday to Friday 8:00 - 17:00 with 1 in 3 Saturday Mornings.
Our client, a highly prestigious dealer in the Cambridge area is currently looking to hire a fully qualified, experienced and professional Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic for their busy Automotive Service Department.
Technician Job Specification:

Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, as a Vehicle Technician your main duties will include carrying out fault diagnosis, service, and repair as instructed to the standards laid down by the manufacturer and our client. Vehicle Technicians need to ensure faults are accurately diagnosed. As a Vehicle Technician you will need to ensure that quality procedures relating to the function laid down by our client and manufacturer are adhered to at all times. 

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Accurately and skillfully undertake the repair and servicing of motor vehicles.
  • Accurately diagnose problems and ensure all work is completed safely and complies with the Company, manufacturer and industry guidelines.
  • Record materials used and time spent on repairs
  • Road test vehicles to check repair work
  • Pick and deliver vehicles to be repaired by external specialists.
  • Complete Auto Electrics on components in the vehicle
You will need to be a fully qualified Vehicle Technician  and hold at least 2 years experience post-apprenticeship. You will need hold a driving licence, be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for you team.
