MET Technician Required in Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey

Pay: Up to £22 per hour + Bonus
Working hours: 45 hours per week MONDAY - FRIDAY ONLY!

Our Client, a Manufacturer approved Accident Repair Centre with over 40 years of trading experience, is seeking an experienced MET Technician for their Crash Repair team based in Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey.

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-managed, respectable Accident Repair Centre that prides itself on the quality of its work and customer care. They value and respect each staff member, offering a clean, state-of-the-art, well-laid-out family-run Bodyshop environment.

Being ATA qualified as an MET Technician is an advantage but not essential to be considered for this role at our client’s Crash Repair Centre. Working experience as a Vehicle MET Technician in the automotive industry is essential to be considered for an interview.

The successful MET Technician will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, either with a main dealership or an independent Bodyshop. You will be skilled in mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs and have experience working in a quality-focused accident repair environment. Our client is also open to conversations with Semi-Skilled or Improver MET Technicians who want to develop their skills further.

Day-to-day duties of an MET Technician with our client’s business:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced Bodyshop environment
  • Multi-brand MET Technician experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to dismantle and reassemble vehicles with efficiency and precision
  • Carry out diagnostic work, mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as being a key team player
