HGV & Plant Technician – Midlands
  • Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE
  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible shift schedules available)
Our client is seeking an experienced HGV and Plant Technician to join their award-winning team. This role involves maintaining and repairing plant machinery and heavy goods vehicles, ensuring quality, compliance, and reliability for customers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on plant machinery, HGVs, trailers, and other vehicles.
  • Conduct PDI works and attachment setups on plant machinery.
  • Mobile repairs and maintenance of plant machinery.
  • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in service vehicles.
  • Work closely with other departments to deliver a high-quality service.
  • Diagnose issues and plan repair work collaboratively.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and handle warranty claims.
  • Provide in-house training to recruits and trainees when required.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld in all tasks.
Skills & Behaviors needed for this Plant & HGV Technician:
  • Qualifications: Level 3 in HGV and Plant Machinery Repair and Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI). Must hold a full UK driving license for relevant vehicle classes.
  • Attention to Detail: Diagnosing and conducting precise repairs to meet safety and performance standards.
  • Time Management: Prioritizing tasks efficiently to meet demands.
  • Resilience: Ability to adapt and remain effective under challenging circumstances.
  • Motivation: A proactive and team-oriented approach to achieving success.
