  • Basic salary of up to £60,000

Our client, an Accident Repair Centre is currently seeking an experienced MET (Mechanical Electrical Trim) to join their new workshop in Exeter.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business working for Well Known Major Insurance Companies.

The day to day duties for the MET Technician will include:
  • Fit and strip both mechanical and body parts from vehicles including body panel, interiors, gearboxes etc. as well as minor mechanical work such as wheel alignments.
  • The MET Technician will be able to produce an extremely high quality of work in any situation and have a right-first-time approach to everything you do.
  • Reporting directly to the site Production Lead,  MET’s that remove and assess any additional damage and refit to our high standards safeguarding customer satisfaction.  
For this role MET role you will have:
  • Practical expertise in vehicle mechanical and suspension repairs
  • ATA MET certification
  • Experience with light commercial vehicles (LCV)
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanics and suspension
  • Skills in steering geometry alignment and adjustment
  • Glazing and minor panel repair capabilities
  • Proficiency in preparing and priming new or repaired panels up to the first masking stage
  • Competence in air conditioning system evacuation and recharge
  • Proficient in plastic repair work
