Reporting to the Head of Truck Sales, your key responsibilities as a HGV Sales Executive will include:
- Manage and develop customer base to meet individual and team sales targets through sales prospecting, marketing, regular customer reviews and other necessary actions.
- Provide accurate and financially sound quotations to customers, taking into consideration their specific requirements.
- Identify and develop potential sales opportunities with new and existing customers, building the appropriate specifications and package offers.
- Work with other teams across the business, including sales admin, aftersales, PDI and F&I, to ensure a smooth sales process right through to vehicle handover.
- Clearly communicate with wider business areas so that all appropriate stakeholders are updated appropriately, as required.
- Attend regular truck sales team meetings to ensure you are aware of business updates and to provide WIP details to the Head of Truck Sales.
- To attend and support customer and company events as and when required; this may include events and meetings outside normal working hours.
- Undertake brand-affiliated training as required, both online and in-person, as a core part of your role.
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate at all levels within a business, including board and senior levels, as well as with team members and colleagues.
- Ability to generate leads and compile a healthy pipeline and to accurately prospect and cold call.
- Ability to influence others outside of immediate area of authority with the perseverance to deliver effectively and on time.
- Contribute to the business's objectives of managing cost, credit and profitability.
- Proactively adopt new systems and processes with a ‘keen to learn’ attitude.
