- Basic Salary - Up to £35,000 (Dependent on experience).

- Perform comprehensive checks on vehicles to assess their roadworthiness, safety, and compliance with legal standards.
- Examine key parts including brakes, lights, tires, exhaust systems, steering, suspension, and bodywork.
- Check the emissions of the vehicle to ensure it meets environmental standards.
- Operate specialized testing equipment to evaluate factors like exhaust emissions, brake efficiency, and vehicle lights.
- Document inspection results accurately, including any faults or issues discovered during the test.
- Issue MOT certificates for vehicles that pass the test and provide a failure notice for vehicles that don't meet the required standards.
- Provide advice to vehicle owners on any necessary repairs or maintenance to ensure their vehicle meets safety and environmental standards.
- Stay updated with changes to MOT test regulations and ensure testing is carried out in line with legal requirements.
- Ensure the workshop or testing area is safe, clean, and equipped with the necessary tools for vehicle inspections.
- Input test results into the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) system for record-keeping and regulatory purposes.
- Adhere to all professional standards, codes of conduct, and legal requirements in relation to MOT testing.
- Being the right fit for the business: our client can accommodates technicians of all skill levels.
- MOT License
- Ideally you will have a good locality to the workshop and be a fantastic team player
- Full UK Driving Licence.
