- Salary: Up to £39,000, depending on experience.

This role will consist of 70% Hands-on Vehicle Technician work with 30% Workshop Controller duties, however, you will be required to lead and support other Technicians in the workshop to carry out a wide range of Workshop Controller duties on a day-day basis.
To be eligible for this role as a minimum, you have 5 Years of Previous Vehicle Mechanical Experience. As a Vehicle Technician, you must have expertise in diagnostics and electrics, and have previous working experience in work types such as timing belts, clutches, electrical diagnostics, brakes, general servicing etc, and a Positive 'can do' attitude, as well as an efficient work ethic to maximise productivity in the workshop. it's essential you hold a valid full UK driving licence.
As a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician / Workshop Controller for our client, Your Duties will include:
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and identify faults using diagnostic tools and software.
- Supervise and oversee the day-to-day activities of the workshop team, ensuring high standards of work are maintained.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians, ensuring the correct repair techniques and procedures are followed.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely and efficient manner, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Manage workshop resources and ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained and properly utilized.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor times in line with company procedures.
- Liaise with customers to provide updates on vehicle progress, costs, and any additional work needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, keeping the workshop clean and organized.
- Assist in managing workshop stock levels, ordering parts as needed.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled to minimize downtime.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
- Ensure that all work complies with manufacturer guidelines and warranty standards.
