For this role you will need:
- Full driving license
- Previous experience in a similar role
- ATA accredited preferred
- Ensure that all vehicles are stripped and rebuilt to a high professional standard, following the correct procedures and carrying out quality checks in line with company guidelines. This includes directly supervising any unqualified staff as required.
- Complete all tasks within the allocated time estimates.
- Notify your Line Manager immediately if any additional work is identified while working on a vehicle.
- Verify that all necessary parts are ordered according to the estimate to prevent delays in the repair process, and return any unused parts to the parts department for credit.
- Follow all housekeeping, health, and safety regulations relevant to your role and working environment.
- Disassemble and repair damaged vehicles by either repairing affected panels or replacing those that cannot be restored.
- Operate all equipment, including jigs, fixtures, and welding tools, in accordance with instructions, qualification level, and safety standards.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and modification bulletins as required for chassis and panel repairs or replacements.
- Attend training courses where necessary to stay up to date with new techniques and industry developments.
- Handle all vehicles with care, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction at all times, while keeping company tools and equipment secure, clean, and in good working order.
- Develop a strong understanding of spray-painting techniques, including paint composition, mixing, and various application methods.
- Keep your knowledge up to date with product improvements and advancements by attending training courses as required.
- Ensure vehicles are fully prepared for painting, including masking, sanding, and other necessary preparation work. Apply paint to the required finish and standard, always maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Always wear the appropriate safety equipment and clothing, attend company-arranged medical assessments, and follow guidance provided by medical professionals. Promptly report any decline in health or vision to your Line Manager.
- Keep all company tools and equipment secure, clean, and in good working order, with particular attention to minimising fire risks.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and team leaders to achieve shared goals and meet team targets.
