- Location: Manchester – Trafford Park
- Working Hours: 40 hrs/week
- Salary: £50,000 (depending on experience) - £100,000 OTE
Key Responsibilities for a Business Development Manager:
- Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and lead generation.
- Develop a strong pipeline of qualified leads by targeting companies with fleet requirements for refrigerated vehicles and collaborating with commercial vehicle dealers to meet their conversion needs.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, nurturing long-term partnerships.
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their requirements.
- Prepare and present bespoke quotations and proposals that address each customer's unique needs, ensuring a perfect fit for their fleet requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver solutions that meet customer specifications and exceed their expectations.
- Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations, emphasising the benefits of refrigerated vehicle conversions.
- Travel nationwide to visit customer sites, conduct face-to-face meetings, and provide ongoing customer support.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while delivering excellent customer service and managing accounts effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships at all levels.
- Previous experience in selling commercial vehicles is preferred, though not essential.
- Knowledge of the refrigerated transport sector would be a distinct advantage.
- Proven ability to generate new business through research and networking.
- A strong understanding of customer needs, with the ability to develop tailored solutions that deliver value.
- Self-motivated, driven, and target-focused, with a competitive streak.
- A full UK driving licence is essential as travel will be required.
