Our client, a family-run commercial vehicle dealer group established across South West England, requires a Vehicle Parts Assistant/Driver to join their busy dealership in Swindon.

Reporting to the Parts Manager and working as part of a friendly team, as a Parts Assistant/Driver you will be a key member of our client's operation and will be involved in duties such as delivering exceptional customer service to customer’s, establishing customer needs for required vehicle parts through conversation, diagnosis and recommendations as appropriate, locating and ordering parts, fully conversant with procedures within the Parts Department, delivering and collecting parts as required, receiving, recording and allocating parts and consumables from suppliers, communicating relevant promotions and offers to workshop control and customers, assist with parts stock checks, report any stock damage or losses, and retuning of parts to suppliers. You will also assist with the delivery of parts to customers.

To be eligible for this role, our client requires recent or current experience working with automotive vehicle parts. Experience in a similar role for a commercial vehicle dealership would be very beneficial but is not essential. Overall, you will be IT-literate, given you will work daily with a dealer management system and an electronic parts catalogue system, hold a UK driving license with minimal points, and have strong customer service/sales skills in a friendly and charismatic manner.
