- Ideally hold an IMI/NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Possess a valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment.
- Own a basic set of tools suitable for automotive repair and maintenance tasks.
- Strong interest in developing a career within the automotive industry.
- Good problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
- Understanding of basic health & safety practices within a workshop setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
Note - All training will provided for the following
- Assist with the diagnosis, servicing, and repair of a wide range of vehicles under the guidance of
- experienced technicians.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake checks, tyre inspections, and fluid top-ups.
- Support in the use of diagnostic tools and workshop equipment to identify faults and carry out necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including parts used and time taken.
- Ensure all vehicles are repaired to the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Work in line with health and safety regulations to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.
- Participate in regular training and development activities to enhance skills and progress towards full qualification.
- Assist with general workshop duties and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the service department.
- Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions from senior technicians and workshop supervisors.
