Apprentice/Trainee Vehicle Technician required in the Wolverhampton/Walsall Area
  • Basic Salary up to £25,000 (Depending on experience and qualifications) 
  • Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:30 with Saturdays 8am - 1pm

The successful Apprentice/Trainee Vehicle Technician will have:
  • Ideally hold an IMI/NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Possess a valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points.
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment.
  • Own a basic set of tools suitable for automotive repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Strong interest in developing a career within the automotive industry.
  • Good problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
  • Understanding of basic health & safety practices within a workshop setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
Key Responsibilities for the Apprentice/Trainee Vehicle Technician:

Note  - All training will provided for the following 
  • Assist with the diagnosis, servicing, and repair of a wide range of vehicles under the guidance of
  • experienced technicians.
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake checks, tyre inspections, and fluid top-ups.
  • Support in the use of diagnostic tools and workshop equipment to identify faults and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including parts used and time taken.
  • Ensure all vehicles are repaired to the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Work in line with health and safety regulations to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.
  • Participate in regular training and development activities to enhance skills and progress towards full qualification.
  • Assist with general workshop duties and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the service department.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions from senior technicians and workshop supervisors.
