MOT Tester – Rugby
  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Monday – Saturday)
  • Salary: £34,000 + Bonus + Benefits (OTE £38,000)
Our client, a rapidly growing national automotive company, is seeking a qualified MOT Tester / Technician to join their professional team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities in this MOT Testing role:
  • Carry out MOT testing in line with DVSA regulations
  • Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, cambelts, exhausts, and tyre fitting
  • Use alignment equipment and interpret results for necessary adjustments
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and to high standards
  • Complete vehicle inspection sheets and adhere to all internal procedures
  • Identify and report any additional faults to customers and management
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant workshop environment
Requirements in this MOT Testing role:
  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance Qualification or Valid MOT Tester Licence
  • Experience in a professional workshop environment
  • Strong understanding of brakes, tyres, cambelts, clutches, and exhaust systems
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A strong team player with a focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and capable of working efficiently in a busy setting
