Key responsibilities for an MOT Technician:
- Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA guidelines
- Service, maintain, and repair vehicles to a high standard
- Perform fast-fit duties including tyre fitting, alignment, brake, exhaust, clutch and cam belt work
- Use alignment machines and interpret results to carry out appropriate adjustments
- Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with Health & Safety procedures
- Record findings and adhere to internal inspection procedures
- Communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues
- Proactively identify additional faults and bring them to the attention of customers or management
- Valid MOT Tester Licence or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience in a fast-paced workshop environment
- Strong mechanical skills and experience across a range of vehicle systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A team player with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
- Commitment to continuous learning and high-quality workmanship
