- LCV/Van Technician required in Herefordshire.
- Starting salary negotiable pending experience and current earnings.
- 40 hour week with an 8 hour day between 7:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Our client, a franchise approved commercial vehicle dealership situated in the Herefordshire region, are currently looking to recruit a LCV/Van Technician to join their business.
Reporting to the Service Manager and working as part of team of a friendly team, as a Vehicle Technician your main duties will include carrying out fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repair on customer's light commercial vehicles and vans as instructed to the standards laid down by our client. You will need to ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and report to the Service Manager as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance. You will also need to ensure that quality procedures relating to the function laid down by our client are adhered to at all times.
Whilst our client would have a preference for candidates that are qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, they are very open to considering candidates with no formal qualifications but extensive practical experience working as a Vehicle Technician. A UK driving license with minimal points is however essential. Overall, you will need to be a team player, be capable of working to the standards of the business, have an organised and methodical approach to your workload with a high quality of workmanship, and be comfortable working in an independent garage environment. An active MOT licence or experience specialising in light commercial vehicles and vans would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
