  • Starting rate between £14-15 per hour depending experience/MOT license
  • Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with no weekends required!

Our client, an Independent Family-Run Garage situated in Avomouth, are currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join their business.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager and working as part of a long-standing team in a contemporary workshop environment, as a Vehicle Technician your main duties will include carrying out fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repairs on customer's vehicles as instructed to the standards laid down by our client.

You will need to ensure any faults are accurately diagnosed and report to the Service Manager as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance.

You will also need to ensure that healthy and safety as well as work quality procedures laid down by our client are adhered to at all times.

On occasions you will also be required to assist on the front desk regarding booking in/out work and any general inquiries from customers regarding their vehicles. 

In order to be eligible for this Vehicle Technician role you will need to be a fully qualified Vehicle Technician to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum and ideally at least two to three year’s technical experience post-qualification. You will need hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and a good team player.

You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a stringent workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for you team.

An active MOT licence would be highly advantageous but is non-essential.

For your hard work as a Vehicle Technician our client is offering:
  • Starting rate between £14-15 per hour depending experience/MOT license
  • Optional overtime subject to availability
  • 22 days annual leave pls the 8 bank holidays
  • Workplace pension scheme
  • Opportunity to join a independent family run business that is also an RAC approved dealer
  • Working hours are 42.5 per week Monday to Friday with no weekends required
