Vehicle Technician - Northampton Main Dealer
  • Salary: £29,000 - £37,700 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)
  • Location: Northampton
  • Hours: Full-time, 42 hours per week
My client is currently seeking an experienced Technician to join their workshop at their reputable Main Dealer located in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual who is passionate about cars and has a strong background in automotive maintenance and repair. Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
  • Conducting vehicle inspections and test drives to identify problems
  • Using diagnostic equipment and tools effectively
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed
  • Providing excellent customer service and communication throughout the repair process

    Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
    • Previous experience in a workshop environment
    • Strong technical knowledge and diagnostic skills
    • A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
    • MOT License preferred but not essential
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
    • Valid driving license
