Our client, an AA certified independent service centre based in Cheltenham, are currently looking for either a full time or part time Vehicle Technician for their busy workshop that has become well known for quality and great customer service.

Reporting to the Centre Manager and working alongside a close-knit, well-motivated and friendly team, your main duties will include carrying out fault diagnosis, service, and repair as instructed to the standards laid down by our client. You will need to ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and report to management as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance. You will also need to ensure that quality procedures relating to the function laid down by our client are adhered to at all times. If you hold an active MOT licence, you will also be carrying out MOT tests on customer’s vehicles to ministry standards.

To be eligible you will ideally live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cheltenham and ideally be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair however our client is very interested in looking at Vehicle Technicians with no formal qualifications but lots of "time served" practical experience. Overall, you will need to be a team player, be capable of working to the standards of our client's business, have an organised and methodical approach to your workload with a high quality of workmanship, and be comfortable working in an independent service centre environment. A UK driving license with minimal points is also essential. If you have an active MOT licence that would be desirable, but it is non-essential.
