Our automotive client is actively looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team of HGV Technicians currently working at their Harlow site maintaining around 150 vehicles/trailers.

As an experience and qualified HGV Technician you’ll be expected to have technical and practical competency when it comes to the repair and maintenance of HGVs, and you must be able to effectively communicate at all levels on a written and verbal basis. You should be flexible enough to be able to adapt to new processes, develop new skills and when required participate in training and development activities. They will also expect you to be an active member of their workshop team.

- Hours: Working a 4 days week (10 hour shifts): Wednesday to Saturday 6.00am-4.00pm (30min unpaid lunch given).
- Salary up to £20 per hour (dependent on experience/qualifications held).

- Able to carry out repairs on HGV’s according to manufacturer’s procedures, safely and responsibly.
- Diagnose faults accurately.
- Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of each repair.
- Hold a City and Guilds, an NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification (apprenticeship completed).
- Have relevant workshop experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
- A basic knowledge of computer software packages including Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred, as is a general level of computer literacy.
