Vehicle Technician / Garage Mechanic Required for Family Run Service Centre in Forest Hill, South London.

We are currently seeking to recruit a fully qualified Vehicle Mechanic to join our client’s busy Automotive Workshop in Forest Hill, London.
The position is based on Monday - Friday 8:00 – 5.30pm with Saturdays on a 1 in 2 Rota basis.  Our client is willing to explore a flexible working shift. 

As an experienced individual, you will be skilled in all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing, and have a good understanding of diagnostics and electronics. 

Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester with our client:
  • Carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and maintenance of company and private vehicles as scheduled or required with due regard to quality procedures.
  • Servicing, Clutches, Timing Belts / Chains
  • Comply with health, safety and environmental legislation and policies
  • All makes and models general diagnostics 
  • Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards 
  • Assist with other ad hoc duties around the workshop as required
Essential Skills for the successful Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester with our client:
  • Must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Experienced in carrying out all classes of skilled work involving inspection and maintenance
  • Experienced with modern diagnostic equipment and vehicle technology
  • Preferably qualified to carry out Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties
  • Computer & Electrical literate
  • Has own tools and able to work self sufficiently in a workshop environment. 
The successful Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester will ideally live within South London or be able to travel to the Forest Hill area and be qualified to City and Guilds Level or NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.

This Vehicle Technician / Mechanic vacancy is based in Forest Hill and our Client is looking only for motor trade technicians.
