Vehicle Technician required in North East Bristol. 
  • Starting salary up to £35,000 per annum (negotiable pending experience).
  • 8:30am-5:30pm Mon to Fri with no weekends required.

Our client, an independent family-run automotive service centre situated in the North East Bristol region, are currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join their business.
 
Reporting to the Garage Manager and working as part of a small and friendly workshop team, as a Vehicle Technician your main duties will be carrying our larger repair work such as engines, gearboxes, clutches and cambelts as well as general diagnostics on customer's vehicles as instructed to the standards laid down by our client. You will need to ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and report to the Workshop Manager as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance. As a Vehicle Technician, you will need to ensure that Health & Safety, as well as work quality procedures relating to the task at hand, are adhered to at all times as well as assisting with general service, maintenance and repair work when needs be.

Do you need to be qualified in order to be eligible? In short, no!
 
An IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair would be highly advantageous however our client is very open to considering candidates with no formal qualifications provided they have at least several years "time served" practical experience as a Vehicle Technician and their own tools. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Candidates with a valid class 4 MOT testing license would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential.

Also, if you are looking to relocate to Bristol our client owns a three bed rental property that you can make use of to ease the relocation stress and offers a cheaper rental rate than the average for the region.
