Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician:
- Perform vehicle diagnostics and identify faults using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on a range of vehicles, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and servicing of vehicles, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
- Complete accurate and comprehensive repair records.
- Collaborate with the service team to prioritise and efficiently manage repair schedules.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and undertake relevant training as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a reputable automotive dealership or service centre.
- Solid understanding of vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- A valid driver's license.
