Fleet HGV Technicians required in North Bristol.
  • 4 on/4 off shift pattern with either day shifts or night shifts available.
  • Up to £19.88 per hour for day shift or up to £22.05 per hour for night shift.
  • 6:00am to 6:00pm for day shift or 6:00pm-6:00am for night shift. 
Our client, one of the UK's leading commercial vehicle fleet maintenance providers, are looking to hire a fully qualified and experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician to work a 4 on/4 off pattern at one of their Vehicle Maintenance Units (VMU) located in North Bristol.

Reporting to the VMU Manager and working as part of a team, your key objectives will include:
  • Maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operation achieved its objectives and targets.
  • Ensuring quality diagnostics and repairs according to repair orders.
  • Ensuring work is quality assured and in accordance with standards and literature.
  • Maintaining working capacity of machines and tools.
  • Striving to achieve Rectification Ratio – Zero (right first time).
  • Work closely with the VMU manager and communicate the number of parts and labour needed for additional repairs.
  • Record and report time spent on repair and maintenance.
  • Assure a clean and safe workshop at all times.
In order to be eligible you will need to be a qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and ideally hold several years practical experience beyond your qualification (ideally working within a fleet orientated environment). You will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Applicants with an active HGV driving license would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential.
