Vehicle Technician required in South West Bristol. 
  • Starting salary negotiable pending experience with additional £2-3,000 annual bonus potential.
  • 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday.
  • Optional technical training and development including the chance to become an MOT Tester. 
Our client, an independent family-run automotive service centre who have operated for over 30 years in the South West Bristol region, are currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join their business.
 
Reporting to the Garage Manager and working as part of a friendly team of 7, as a Vehicle Technician your main duties will include carrying out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repairs on customer's vehicles to a high standard (our client works with all makes and models as well as handling some fleet work) . You will need to ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and report to the Garage Manager as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability. and performance. As a Vehicle Technician, you will need to ensure that Health & Safety, as well as work quality procedures relating to the task at hand, are always adhered to. 

To be eligible an IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair would be essential to our client at this stage. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Candidates with a valid class 4 MOT testing license would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential as training for this can be provided.
