PDI/Prep Technician required in Honiton, Devon
  • Basic Salary circa £31,500
  • Family Run Commercial Dealership
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • 1/4 Saturday Mornings, 8:30am - 12:30pm
Our client is a Family Run Commercial Dealership based in the Honiton Area. They are actively looking to hire a PDI/Prep Technician for their busy Prep Centre. Ideally you will have experience within the motor trade and hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Our client is offering with successful Prep Technician:
  • Basic Salary Circa £31,500
  • 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
  • Hours are between Monday to Friday 8:00am – 18:00p/ Saturdays on a Rota basis 08:00-12:30
  • Full Time, Permanent Role
  • Franchise Dealership
  • Company Benefits such as preferential service rates, share incentives, tool insurance and colleague purchase scheme. 
What is required of a PDI/Prep Tech: 
  • A Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Experience of working as a Technician, in a main dealer would be desirable.
  • Own a set of tools
  • Full UK driving license.
  • MOT License is preferred but NOT essential. 
What is the PDI/Pre Technician job role?
  • Carrying out servicing and general repairs, stripping, fitting and replacing components on vehicles. 
  • identifying faulty components and ensure underlying problems are rectified. 
  • Ensuring all consumables are ordered and logged against job cards. 
  • Carrying out vehicle health checks and basic diagnostics. 
  • Able to work independently and as part of the team when required.
  • Aware of the importance and implication of maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and work to ensure they are met at all times.
