Workshop Controller Needed for Commercial Main Dealer

  • Salary: £35,000 per annum
  • Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week, flexible
Our client is a leading Commercial Main Dealer with a reputation for excellence. They are seeking a seasoned Workshop Controller with a background in commercial vehicles to oversee the efficient operation of a busy workshop.

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Workshop Controller:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a bustling Truck & Van workshop with approximately 10-15 technicians, both workshop-based and mobile.
  • Ensure all technicians adhere to manufacturer warranty processes.
  • Handle job card costing, using manufacturer standard repair time labour codes.
  • Maintain a high level of organisation and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of both LCV (Light Commercial Vehicles) and LGV (Large Goods Vehicles) repairs.
What's required from you as a Workshop Controller?
  • Previous experience in a Workshop Controller role, ideally within an HGV Main Dealer.
  • Strong technical understanding of commercial vehicles, including LCV and LGV.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer warranty processes is essential.
  • Must be process-driven and able to multi-task effectively.
