Vehicle Technician required in South Oxford
  • Starting salary up to £31,000 per annum plus bonuses with £36-41,000+ uncapped annual on-target earnings. 
  • 48 hour week Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm and Saturdays 8:30am-5:00pm. 
  • Up to 44 days annual leave (including 8 bank holidays). 
Our client, a widely-recognised automotive service centre group with 40 locations nationwide, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician for their South Oxford site. 

Reporting to the Autocentre Manager and working  as part of a large friendly team, your key responsibilities as an Vehicle Technician will include:
  • Carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standards on vehicles and to the appropriate specification.
  • Test and diagnose faults as requested.
  • Examine vehicles, recognise and provide a written report on vehicle (or component) defects or systems of impending failure.
  • Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
  • Promote and maintain the our client's image, acting as a brand ambassador.
In order to be eligible you will need to have a UK driving licence with minimal points and be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and ideally hold practical experience within another automotive workshop environment beyond your qualification. Overall you will be a good team player with excellent communication skills, liaising with other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of work through the workshop.
