Our client, a franchise-approved vehicle dealership located in Swindon is currently looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Service Advisor to join their Service Department.

Reporting to the Service Manager and working as a part of a friendly team in a modern busy showroom environment, as a Vehicle Service Advisor you will be the main point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for repairs ensuring that customers are called in advance of their visit to confirm attendance. On arrival you will take them through all the necessary paperwork, ensuring that all the technical terms are explained clearly. After this, your role will be to set expectations with the customer and keep them updated throughout the repair process of their vehicle. When the work is complete you will be responsible for taking payment and selling any additional products/services that may be of benefit to the customer which can include retention products.

The successful candidate would need at least a year of experience in a similar automotive customer service role and be able to deliver the very highest level of customer service through strong communication skills resulting in total customer satisfaction. Liaising with the manufacturer to authorise warranty repairs and a general knowledge of warranty procedures would also be advantageous but not essential. A passion for working for our client and the manufacturer they represent and very strong organisational skills along with IT proficiency would be essential (experience with the Drive Dealer Management System would be highly advantageous but is non-essential). You will also require a UK driving licence with no more than 7 points.
