- Salary: Basic Salary circa £37,000 depending on experience + bonus
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm with 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota
- Holidays: 24 days annual leave (increasing with service)
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the workshop, ensuring the smooth running of operations and maintaining high standards of service.
Key responsibilities as an Assistant Service Manager:
- Distribute work to Technicians and ensure tasks are completed within set time frames and quality standards.
- Communicate with Customers and Service Advisors to keep them informed about the status of their vehicles.
- Generate customer quotes and invoices promptly.
- Organise and adapt the workshop’s work schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
- Track and oversee the completion of workshop activities.
- Provide technical guidance to the team when needed.
- Direct experience in managing a workshop team is advantageous.
- Strong, hands on technical knowledge of vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Skilled at juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining quality.
- Strong communication abilities and customer service skills.
- A full driving licence is required.
