As a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles to a high standard. You will ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in line with industry standards. In addition to your technical duties, you will engage with colleagues and customers professionally, maintaining the garage’s reputation for excellent service.
Key Responsibilities as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:
- Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
- Perform MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards, ensuring all vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, including service records and customer reports.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with the service team and customers, providing clear explanations and updates.
- Continuously update your knowledge and skills to stay current with industry developments.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester is essential.
- MOT License: A valid MOT Testing License is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform a wide range of vehicle repairs.
