Responsibilities: As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester with our client's dealership, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles, ensuring the highest level of technical accuracy and quality.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, adhering to manufacturer guidelines, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilise state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology, particularly in the field of electric vehicles, and apply this knowledge in your work.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of all repair and maintenance tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining vehicle diagnoses and repair options, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably with knowledge or experience in electric vehicle technology.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of using diagnostic equipment and software.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- A positive and proactive approach to work, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to staying updated with the latest automotive technology, especially electric vehicles.
- Relevant certifications would be advantageous, but are not essential.
