Our client is a highly successful family run Franchise / Main Car Dealer situated in Grays, Essex. They have been trading for over 85 years and over the years have developed a strong customer based with the company delivering the highest standards of customer care. They have a fun-spirited vibe throughout the workshop whereby Vehicle Technicians are helpful towards each other and work well together as a team.

They have an excellent bonus scheme in place which is based on weekly individual hours sold performance, this is uncapped and the workload is a plenty to support the opportunity to earn a good bonus. If you like to work smart and put the effort in the financial rewards are absolutely there!

Details & Benefits of this Vehicle Technician vacancy:
  • Fantastic Overall Earning Opportunity = £50,000 p.a. (basic & bonus).
  • Weekday Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm with 30 mins for lunch.
  • 1 in 3 Saturday mornings worked 8.00am-2.00pm.
  • Any extra Saturdays worked paid as overtime at £20 per hour!

Duties of the Vehicle Technician role will include carrying out:
  • Basic Servicing and MOT Repairs.
  • Diagnostics – Fault Finding.
  • Brake Pad, disc and suspension changes.
  • Exhaust repairs and changes.
As well as technical competence in the mechanics of a vehicle, you may have a thorough knowledge of the electrical and electronic components of a vehicle and be comfortable with using the latest diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults.

You must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanics, have a positive, 'can do' attitude, and willingness to work as part of an effective team.  If you have an MOT Smartcard this would be an advantage.
