This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical or bodyshop background, ideally suited to someone looking to get off the tools but still contribute their technical expertise. You will be inspecting damaged vehicles, assessing their condition, and preparing them for salvage or resale.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about vehicles and who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, and is well suited for Vehicle Technicians and MET Tech, Paint Tech or Panel Beaters looking to come away from a practical hands-on position.

- Re-categorisation: Verify the vehicle’s insurance categorisation and adjust if necessary
- Mechanical Diagnosis: Identify any engine or mechanical issues such as knocking or smoking
- DII - Digital Imagery Inspection: Capture accurate images and videos of the car's interior, exterior, and engine, providing a written commentary on the vehicle’s condition
- Auction Preparation: Provide detailed and accurate reports for vehicles listed for digital auctions, ensuring transparency for potential buyers
- Customer Reporting: Assist customers in determining whether damaged vehicles can return to the road or if repairs are only cosmetic
- Mechanical Knowledge: Experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, or bodyshop environments
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in identifying vehicle damage, reporting on engine conditions, and ensuring proper categorisation
- Team Player: Ability to work with a close-knit team and assist with training where needed
- Communication Skills: Good written and verbal skills for creating detailed vehicle inspection reports
- Proactive: Someone with a strong work ethic who takes initiative in assessing vehicles and solving problems independently
