Commercial Vehicle Fleet Technician Required –Southampton, Hampshire
  • Salary: £37,315 Basic + Additional £4.49 per hour for late shifts (4 hours)
  • Hours: Rotating shifts: 07:00 - 15:30, 12:30 - 21:00 (8-hour shifts, 30 min unpaid lunch)
  • Saturdays: Ad-hoc as required
  • Option: Permanent days or late shifts available
  • Bonus: £1,000 sign-on bonus + Overtime available!
Our client, a globally recognised Supply Chain and Logistics leader, is seeking a Commercial Vehicle Fleet Technician to join their team. With a rich history and global revenue exceeding $84 billion, they are an industry leader operating from a modern, fully equipped fleet maintenance facility.

If you are a Car Mechanic; our client will offer you training on how to repair LCVs & Commercial Vehicles too.

Duties of a Commercial Vehicle Fleet Technician with our Client:
  • Service, maintenance, and repair of a 78-vehicle fleet (light vans, commercial vehicles, and alternative fuel vehicles)
  • Vehicle diagnostics, MOT preparation, and engine replacements
  • Fleet compliance checks and vehicle handovers throughout the day
  • Opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including mobile column lifts and rolling roads
  • Hands-on management of fleet maintenance operations
What our Client Expects of their Commercial Vehicle Fleet Technician:
  • Qualified Mechanic with experience in vehicle maintenance (Car Mechanics also welcome – training provided on LCV and commercial vehicles)
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance standards for HGV and LCV operations is helpful
  • Experience working with Mercedes Sprinters, Vario, or similar vehicles preferred
  • Strong team player with the ability to manage fleet compliance and contribute to a smooth-running workshop
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (including lates) and be flexible with overtime when required
