About the Role: As an MET Technician, you’ll play a vital role in the vehicle repair process, ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and trim components are repaired, refitted, and realigned to the highest standards. You’ll work on a variety of makes and models, using advanced tools and diagnostic equipment to perform high-quality repairs, including:
- Stripping and refitting vehicle components, including mechanical and electrical parts
- Diagnosing faults with electrical systems and resolving issues efficiently
- Repairing and replacing damaged parts, such as airbags, wiring, and sensors
- Re-aligning and calibrating advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and other key safety features
- Ensuring all repairs are carried out to the highest safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Conducting thorough quality checks to ensure everything is in perfect working order before the vehicle is handed over
What Our Client is Looking For in Their Next MET Technician:
- Proven experience as an MET Technician in a crash repair or accident repair workshop
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical repair techniques
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and fix faults
- Experience working with a range of vehicles and technology, including modern safety systems
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- NVQ/IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
- Hours: 7am - 4pm, Monday to Friday (No weekend work!)
