Vehicle Damage Assessor / Crash Repair Estimator Required in Sidcup, South East London
  • Up to £40,000 Basic Salary + Bonus Incentive Scheme 
  • 45 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday (7am - 5pm) with Saturday mornings on a rota basis
  • 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Our client, a reputable Crash Repair Centre in Sidcup, is looking for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor / Crash Repair Estimator to join their dedicated team. They are known for their friendly work environment and are looking for a professional who can uphold high standards of assessment and customer service.

This is a well-established business that employs around 30 staff in their Sidcup site, including a mix of workshop productives, drivers, and parts handlers. The workshop is equipped with a strong team of 20 skilled technicians across panel, paint, and MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) departments. As part of a larger group with two additional sites, they have a total workforce of around 100 employees, providing a healthy mix of both retail and insurance customers.

Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Damage Assessor with our client:
  • Assess Damage: Determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, and electrical damage to vehicles.
  • Estimate Costs: Accurately estimate parts and labour costs to repair damage.
  • Insurance Reporting: Prepare insurance forms to document repair costs and recommendations.
  • Supplier Coordination: Negotiate contracts with suppliers for parts and materials.
  • Monitor Quality: Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standard.
  • Support Team Members: Assist colleagues and provide guidance when necessary.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve day-to-day issues and support team productivity.
Requirements of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle technologies.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience using Audatex Crash Repair IT systems
  • Excellent time management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
