Service Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic – Family-Run Car Garage in Leatherhead, Surrey
  • 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays!
  • 1 hour daily (split into two half-hour breaks).
  • £22,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 20 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday per year

Our client is a well-established, family-owned garage that has been serving the Leatherhead area for over 40 years. Specialising in servicing all makes and models, they offer a full range of services including general maintenance, tyres, exhausts, suspension repairs, and MOT testing. Day-to-Day Duties of a Service Vehicle Technician with our client:
  • Conducting routine vehicle servicing and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
  • Carrying out tyre replacements, puncture repairs, wheel balancing, and alignment.
  • Performing suspension repairs and adjustments to maintain safety and ride quality.
  • Completing MOT tests (if qualified or wanting to become trained on doing MOT's) and preparing vehicles for re-testing when necessary.
  • Advising customers on required repairs and maintenance, ensuring transparency and clarity.
  • Ordering and fitting replacement parts to manufacturer specifications.
  • Keeping accurate records of all work carried out, including service checklists and customer communications.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with the team to provide excellent customer service and uphold the garage’s reputation.
