  • Starting salary between £32-36,000 per annum plus team performance bonus around £2,000+ per annum
  • 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Our client, a leading niche classic car restoration specialist, is currently looking to hire an experienced and professional Vehicle Paint Sprayer to join their busy bodyshop in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager and working as part of a team, as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer your key objectives will include:
  • Clean, buff, and mask off areas not to be painted.
  • Remove rust, grease, and imperfections from surfaces.
  • Fill cavities and dents with putty to create a smooth finish.
  • Match and mix colours to achieve the perfect shade.
  • Apply primer and paint using spray equipment or handheld spray guns.
  • Buff and polish surfaces between coats and apply a clear coat for a flawless finish.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for quality, noting any defects like runs, sags, or uneven areas.
  • Polish and wax vehicles post-painting to ensure a high-gloss finish.
  • Clean and maintain spray equipment, paint booths, and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Keep accurate records of materials used and contribute to cost estimates.
  • Assist colleagues in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
  • Stay updated on new products, methods, and technologies in the industry.
To be eligible for this Paint Sprayer role you will ideally be a fully qualified Vehicle Paint Sprayer to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Alternatively, our client is willing to consider candidates with no qualifications but strong time-served experience working as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer. Any experience working with classic or speciality vehicles would be highly desirable but it is not essential. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of workmanship in a busy working environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team.
